Dredge (and Rainey) Report, Dredging resumed, September 30, 2011

Friday, September 30

Friday dawned muggy but a little cooler. Timmy left to pick up an electrician for 7am, and I stayed to pack up and take my usual dawn photographs. Standing on the back deck concentrating through the viewfinder, I was surprised to find 3 deer right under me. They had come to investigate the area where Timmy throws old bread out for the birds. As the shutter clicked, the doe lifted her head to look at me, then she and the two yearlings bounded off to the back ridge.
