Pumping again

Les Cross of Javeler, Inc. donated a new hydraulic winch to replace the overhead support for the pump. The small dredge was refitted over the last 2 weeks to accommodate the upgrade. In addition to the new winch, our new system includes a new pontoon float for the outfall, and a reorganized deck. The water pump was moved back, the metal ring structure on the deck at our feet was removed, and indoor/outdoor carpet was laid to keep things from disappearing through the grate. Our work area is much less cluttered and noisy.

We tested the new system on Wednesday, and it all worked together well. The full report will be uploaded soon.
