Tuesday, April 24

With a late start to the day, Karen brought Ahmet Binselam and his friend out in the 17 ft boat the Avocet, and made it to the camp at 2:30. Ahmet is our Audubon computer guru and brought Timmy’s new computer. After setting it up and transferring files, we stopped by the dredge site on our way back.

The water level in the pond was about 8 inches below marsh level (-8” ML). Cell 4 was entirely exposed mud, and deposits could be seen against the containment. I didn’t have time to go look closer. I got them back to the dock for 6:00pm.

Figure 1. Low water in the pond exposed the entire substrate of Cell 4.
